1) Chronic fever

Thermometer

When our body encounters an infection, then the chemicals present in our blood increases the body temperature to eradicate the infection. Such elevation in temperature causes fever.

If the increased temperature cannot balance the infection, then you should have a high degree of fever for a few days. This is not a good sign and indicates the progress of infection in your body.

Similarly, the temperature goes beyond the normal and the body becomes chill at times. It is also a warning signing of the widespread of oral infections in the body.

2) Swelling

Swollen face

When you ignore a cracked or infected tooth to treat, then the bacteria in the mouth begin to accumulate in that tooth’s root region. It causes pus underneath the tooth and it is termed as Dental Abscess. The pus bloats the gum around the abscessed tooth. This, in turn, causes swelling in the face.

The persistence of swelling in the face makes difficult the mouth oriented actions like speaking, swallowing, biting eating. Meanwhile, closing off the airway in the nausea region is also possible with this abnormal swelling. It makes breathing also difficult.

3) Lesser urination

Dehydration and Stomach pain are common problems associated with infections in the body.

When our body becomes dehydrated, it excretes less urine. Meanwhile, the urine appears thicker and in abnormal color. Likewise, sweating is also drastically reduced.

On the other hand, the progressing infection will cause excretory problems like frequent vomiting, diarrhea,

4) Change in mental status

Change in mental status

When the toxic substance secreted by the bacteria in an infected tooth enters the cranial cavity in our head, then the brain will be easily affected. This alters the state of our mind and induces problems like dizziness, low concentration level, confusion, extreme drowsiness, etc.

5) Rapid breathing rate and pulse rate

Is your heart beating faster than normal? Are you breathing excessively with no reason?

If your answer is YES for these questions, visit your Dentist immediately. The mentioned abnormalities are the indicators of the infection’s widespread in the bloodstream.

The toxic substance produced in the infected oral regions can be easily spread to both the bloodstream and the brain exhibiting various issues. Preventing those hazardous diseases will be possible if the precaution measures and care are taken in the earlier stages. We hope that the mentioned symptoms will help you to avert those issues.
